Psychology

Among others, UBT we place great importance on the mental health of our students and staff, moreover it makes us a leader in Kosovo since when it comes to student care there are no “forbidden” topics, for this purpose, we have established a Student Counseling Center where our students can consult with our psychologists. Based on this principle, UBT has established a Student Counseling Center, led by psychologist Vjollca Pllana-Shahini, which provides free mental and emotional health counseling and support to UBT students.

Since April 2018, when the first cases were registered at the center, tens of UBT students have benefited from psychological counseling as the center has seen a steady increase in the number of students willing to address and address concerns.

Furthermore, It provides a range of services including individual counseling, group counseling, workshops and a peer to peer (student to student) program. As a result, such a mobilization of students to take care of their health, psychologist Pllana – Shahini considers as a very positive step. “Indeed it is quite promising that our young people are breaking the taboo and the cultural and social stigma of seeking professional help day by day. Mental health care is just as important as physical health care. In fact, the body and the mind are one”, underlined Shahini. The Counseling Center is open to all students of all programs and levels of study, every working day from 09:00 to 17:30.

The center is located at the Innovative Campus, Lipjan, at Building 3, office G303.

All interested students may arrange a timetable by contacting the psychologist Vjollca Pllana Shahini in person or by email: center.counseling@ubt-uni.net
