UBT provide in bachelor level of the law programme the clinic education, which has been considered another possibility for the master students to provide practical hours and more especially simulation moot courts.

On completion of the programme exams and requirements in each of the subjects, the student will gain:

  • deep knowledge on material and procedural legal civil framework, including detailed knowledge of the principles and institutes of civil law;
  • ability to appreciate the main theoretical views that underlie the legal provisions;
  • ability to resolve problems in theory and practice through the use of legislative acts and judicial practice and to evaluate the relevance of the facts;
  • ability to solve problems through case-law practices of more complex national and international cases;
  • skills to interpret and synthesizes the reasoning of legal rules as part of a legal system and applies it to a variety of real cases;
  • skills to provide reasoned opinions on different collisions of the norms;
  • capability to make professional written and oral presentations based on the skills to access key sources and to gather information;
  • knowledge on the gaps of present knowledge and to utilize research skills, to conduct research into unresolved issues;
    • skills to draft and edits basic legal documents such as requests, complaints, wills and decisions;
    • capability to work in team and to communicate effectively orally and in writing regarding legal matters.

At last, in accordance with the European Qualifications Framework the proposed master programme respond to the NQF level 7

The Law Faculty has an efficient collaboration with the Municipal Court of Pristina, National Chamber of Advocates. Law Faculty in UBT has built the practice of visits realized in the Municipal Court, public agencies (Kosovo Agency of Competition, Business Registration Agency and other practical sector of the law, supervised by a professor of professional practice in bachelor and master programs. Also, the Law Faculty has its team on arbitrary law, which has been part of the Fourth Annual Western Balkans Vis Pre-Moot and international competitions like The Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot 2018. The same experience will be realized during this year competitions. The master candidates can be part of the faculty team and practice the knowledge on contractual, arbitrary law and related to them fields.

Grading of students tests, assignments and projects is assisted by the use of matrices or other means to ensure that the planned range of domains of student learning outcomes are addressed. Arrangements are made within the institution for training of teaching staff in the theory and practice of student assessment.

Textbooks and reference materials are up to date and incorporate the latest developments in the field of study. Textbooks and other required materials are available in sufficient quantities before classes commence.

The academic or professional fields for which students are being prepared are monitored on a continuing basis with necessary adjustments made in the program and in text and reference materials to ensure continuing relevance and quality.
