Admission

The Bachelor’s Programme in Tourism (BA) at UBT is open to all candidates who wish to pursue a career in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and the visitor economy. The admission process is conducted transparently and in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kosovo, the UBT Statute, and the Regulations for Bachelor Studies, ensuring equal treatment for all applicants.

 

Admission to the programme is based on clearly defined academic criteria, ensuring that enrolled students possess the necessary educational background to successfully undertake university studies. Applicants are required to have completed secondary education and fulfil the admission requirements established by UBT and the relevant higher education authorities in Kosovo. The application and enrolment process is supported by the University administration, which provides guidance and assistance throughout every stage of the admission procedure.

 

Admission Requirements

To enrol in the Bachelor’s Programme in Tourism, applicants must:

  • have successfully completed secondary education (12 years of schooling) and hold the relevant diploma;
  • have successfully passed the State Matura Examination in accordance with the applicable legislation;
  • meet the academic admission requirements established by UBT for Bachelor studies; and
  • submit all required documentation within the announced application and enrolment deadlines.

Applicants who have completed their previous education outside Kosovo are admitted following the recognition and verification of their academic qualifications in accordance with the relevant legislation and institutional procedures. Likewise, the transfer of students from other higher education institutions is regulated by UBT’s academic regulations and is based on the compatibility of study programmes and ECTS credits.

 

Application and Enrolment Deadlines

The application process is organised in accordance with the University’s Academic Calendar and the official admission calls announced by UBT. Application deadlines, enrolment periods, and documentation requirements are published annually on the University’s official website and communication channels, enabling prospective students to plan their application and enrolment in a timely manner.

 

Throughout the admission process, applicants receive support from the Admissions Office, which provides information on admission requirements, required documentation, administrative procedures, and study opportunities. Following enrolment, newly admitted students participate in orientation sessions, where they are introduced to the study programme, learning outcomes, assessment system, academic timetable, and the University’s academic and student support services.
