Kosovo Hosts Europe’s Largest Quality Congress – EOQ Congress 2026
23/10/2026The 67th Congress of the European Organization for Quality (EOQ 2026) has concluded after bringing together institutional representatives, international experts, academics, and professionals in Kosovo over three days to discuss the role of quality in the age of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
The closing session of the Congress provided an opportunity to reflect on the key findings and messages of this year’s edition, highlighting the importance of quality as a foundation for innovation, trust, resilience, and competitiveness in a rapidly changing world.
As part of the session, the Congress conclusions were presented under the title “Congress Conclusions: What Prishtina 2026 Has Taught Us,” alongside the message “Prishtina Quality Message 2026: The Future through Quality,” emphasizing the importance of a shared commitment to building a higher-quality and more sustainable future.
A special moment was the handover ceremony of the EOQ flag and the presentation of the next Congress, which will be held in Belgium, symbolizing the continuity of international cooperation and the European quality community’s commitment to advancing quality.
In his closing remarks, Prof. Dr. Paulo Sampaio, President of the European Organization for Quality (EOQ), delivered a message emphasizing a united quality community and shared responsibility for advancing quality standards and practices.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, President and Rector of UBT, President of Quality Kosova, and Vice President of the EOQ, concluded the Congress with the message “From Prishtina to the Future through Quality,” highlighting the importance of continuing international cooperation and translating ideas and discussions into concrete initiatives for the future.
Hosting the 67th EOQ Congress at UBT represents an important opportunity to promote Kosovo as a hub for professional dialogue, knowledge exchange, and international cooperation.
Through this event, UBT and Quality Kosova contributed to advancing discussions on the role of quality in institutional, economic, and social development. Under the message “From Prishtina to the Future through Quality,” EOQ Congress 2026 concluded its proceedings by reaffirming the importance of a shared vision, responsibility, and cooperation in building a higher-quality and more sustainable future.
