The Bachelor’s Programme in Tourism (BA) at UBT is strongly committed to internationalisation and is developed in line with the University’s institutional strategy to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation with international universities, institutions, and organisations. Through this commitment, the Faculty aims to create opportunities for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and international best practices, preparing students for a global labour market and an increasingly international professional environment.
The programme benefits from UBT’s extensive network of international partnerships, providing students and academic staff with opportunities to participate in mobility programmes, research projects, scientific conferences, seminars, summer schools, and other academic activities. These collaborations foster the exchange of experience, professional development, and the continuous enhancement of the teaching and learning process.
The design and development of the programme are based on European standards and best practices, ensuring full alignment with the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). The programme learning outcomes are harmonised with the requirements of Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework, ensuring that graduates acquire knowledge, skills, and competencies comparable to those offered by leading European universities.
The programme has also been developed through close collaboration with international academic partners and experts, as well as continuous consultation with industry representatives and other stakeholders. This approach enables the continuous enhancement of the curriculum, the integration of innovative teaching practices, and the adaptation of the programme to the latest developments in the global tourism and hospitality industries.
Through international cooperation, students have the opportunity to develop intercultural competencies, strengthen their language and professional skills, and establish collaborative networks with students, academics, and professionals from around the world. These international experiences prepare graduates for careers in both national and international organisations and companies, enhancing their competitiveness and employability in the global labour market.
In line with UBT’s vision, the Faculty of Tourism continues to expand its international partnerships by promoting academic mobility, scientific research, and knowledge exchange, with the goal of providing a study experience that reflects the highest standards of European and international higher education.
