Teaching and Learning

Within the framework of the Bachelor Study program of Law, the main forms of teaching components are lectures, seminars, professional internships, seminar papers, semester midterm exams, course exams, diploma topics, projects, etc. In addition, the lectures occupy the largest part of the workload in the program. Meanwhile, teaching process is organized on the basis of group and course, emphasizing that the main form of teaching is student-centered teaching.

 

Meanwhile, for the realization of teaching process, there have been employed professors who have scientific degrees and titles, with a long experience in the field of law. Therefore, in order to provide a teaching process in compliance with the European standards there it has been paid a particular attention to implementation of modern technology.

 

The assessment of students’ knowledge is carried out by a student evaluation formula for each subject, presented in the curriculum of each subject. In addition to the final exam, the student is tested throughout the semester in each subject. In this regard, the acquired knowledge is checked dynamically through partial exams, seminar papers interactivity during the classes, as well as active participation in the learning process. On the whole, all these semester control forms are evaluated with points, which are an integral part of the final evaluation.

 

Research is also an integral part of teaching and learning.

 

The development of scientific research is one of the most important pillars in UBT, for raising the level of teaching, broadening human knowledge and knowledge and their professional applications in the country.

 

Planning of research and scientific research activities aims at achieving concrete outcomes:
– First, in the function of teaching – through increasing the quality of education, as well as the integration of scientific research with teaching. This provides students with methodological skills for research, as well as ongoing opportunities in completing teaching disciplines with advanced scientific and practical knowledge.
– Secondly, in order to link the university offers with the needs of the labor market through basic or applied scientific research, studies and projects for development, other creative activities in relevance to the regulations of institution.
– Thirdly, in order to implement the agreements with educational and industrial institutions, enabling a theoretical and practical impact on society, the economy, the academic community at home and abroad.
