Internationalization and academic international cooperation
Internationalization and international academic cooperation are key elements in the development strategy of the BSc in Aesthetics and Cosmetology programme at UBT College. This approach aims to enhance students’ research capacities, broaden their academic perspectives, and prepare them for a global labour market and an international scientific community. International partnerships directly contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the development of innovative solutions in the fields of cosmetology, applied biochemistry, and dermatology.
In this context, UBT College offers the following opportunities to students and academic staff:
- Exchange and Mobility Programmes (Student Mobility): Through bilateral agreements and programmes such as Erasmus+, Bachelor-level students have the opportunity to spend one semester or one academic year at foreign Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). This enables exposure to different research methodologies, new academic environments, and interaction with international students and professors.
- Collaborative Research: UBT encourages and supports academic staff in establishing research synergies with international scholars. This cooperation allows BSc-level students to be involved as research assistants in international projects, gaining valuable experience in designing and conducting scientific studies.
- Global Professional Networking: Through participation in international conferences, symposia, and summer schools, students are encouraged to build a global network of contacts within the aesthetics and cosmetology industry, facilitating their employment opportunities or further postgraduate studies abroad.
Academic staff engagement in international networks
The academic staff of the BSc in Aesthetics and Cosmetology programme actively participates in developing research agreements with colleagues from other HEIs, both within Kosovo and internationally. These partnerships are essential for promoting knowledge exchange and continuously improving curriculum quality. By engaging in interdisciplinary scientific networks, faculty members address both local and global challenges in cosmetic sciences and aesthetic medicine.
Research cooperation agreements between academic staff of the programme and colleagues from other HEIs, both domestically and internationally, are presented below:
