UBT students of Lipjan paid a study visit to the antique part of this city

Students from the Faculty of Architecture and Spatial Planning at UBT under the guidance of their professors have paid a study visit to the antique parts of Lipjan. This study visit was carried out in the framework of the subject named “Design Studio in the Architectural Restorations”.

 

Despite of that, they also visited the Church of the Proclamation of the Virgin which was built in XVI Century in Lipjan. Due to the fact that it pertains to a remote period, this monument is being preserved by the state.

 

The students were informed about the construction and architectural background of this monument. They were particularly concerned with cultural tabloid dating from the period of Byzantium and how there carried out visual analysis with a special focus on the graphical aspects as well as the overall shape of the building.

 

The main purpose of those study visits is to provide an in-depth analysis of the architectural monuments which have been built in Kosovo and broader in the region along centuries. Undoubtedly, students have already acquired theoretical knowledge as far as these monuments are concerned during their studies at UBT.
