UBT Participates in the Opening Ceremony of the Venice Biennale 2026
07/05/2026The Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, together with UBT staff members Fisnete Hajrizi, Laura Ymeri, and Burim Berisha, participated in the opening ceremony of the Venice Biennale, one of the world’s most prestigious and influential events in the field of art and culture, held in Venice, Italy.
As part of this important international event, Rector Hajrizi also attended the official opening of the Kosovo Pavilion, hosted at Chiesa di Santa Maria del Pianto, and visited the main exhibition spaces of the Biennale, including Giardini della Biennale and Arsenale, where leading global contemporary art projects are showcased.
During the participation, a series of meetings were held with representatives of cultural and academic institutions from various countries, focusing on the development of joint projects, the expansion of international cooperation, and the promotion of UBT initiatives, including the UBT Contemporary Art Gallery.
This engagement at the Venice Biennale further strengthens UBT’s international presence in the global cultural and academic scene, opening new opportunities for collaboration, artistic exchange, and student involvement in international projects and experiences.
Through such high-level participation, UBT continues to reinforce its global vision and commitment to internationalization, positioning itself as an active contributor to contemporary art, education, and cultural diplomacy.
