UBT and TU Wien Students Hold International Spatial Planning Workshop in Austria
17/06/2026Master’s students from UBT’s Faculty of Architecture and Spatial Planning, together with students from the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) and their professors, Thomas Dillinger, Skender Kosumi, and Nina Svanda, conducted the second one-week workshop of this semester in Vienna, Austria, as part of the long-standing collaboration between the two universities.
From UBT, the students were supervised by professors Binak Beqaj, Shqipërim Ahmeti, and Modest Gashi.
The one-week workshop in Vienna was also actively attended by the Mayor of Deçan, Bashkim Ramosaj, the Director of Urban Planning, Arbër Nuraj, as well as representatives from the urban planning departments of the municipalities of Peja and Deçan.
In addition to intensive workshop sessions and lectures delivered by professors, the students’ program included a variety of other activities, such as excursions to the Ötscher-Tormäuer National Park and Seestadt Aspern, social gatherings in Heuberg and Heurige, as well as visits to horse racing events in Vienna’s Krieau district.
As part of this close collaboration and working in mixed teams with their colleagues from TU Wien, UBT students demonstrated a high level of commitment, creativity, and professional engagement.
The regional development projects prepared for the municipalities of Peja and Deçan will be finalized in July and are expected to be exhibited at UBT, TU Wien, and in the municipalities of Peja and Deçan.
