Kosovar students project will be presented in Shanghai, China

The UBT students, Taulant Mehmeti, Muhammad Retkoceri and Hakan Shehu, under the mentorship of lecturer at AUT, Artan Salihu, were selected among the ten finalists in the competition, “Watson Analytics Global Competition”.

This contest was aimed at creating innovative and analytical solutions, using new techniques and intelligent platforms.

The topic Project: “The role of livestock farming in the global climate change”, the UBT students, will be presented at the Big Conference Data and Analytics – “6th Annual Big Data and Analytics Edco,” which this year will be held in Shanghai, China.

At this conference they will present findings and processing of data from different sources. The UBT students have used the latest techniques of Data Science and AI, to study trends and the impact of livestock farming in the emission of pollutant gases to the environment.

The project made a comparison of the impact of this sector with other sectors, such as energy and transport.

To achieve this project in the final of this competition, support and great contribution is given by the Rector of the UBT, prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi and dr. Murthy Rallapalli.
