A UBT delegation, led by the Director of Academic Affairs, prof.dr Muhamet Ahmeti, has visited the memorial complex “Adem Jashari”, aiming to recall the sublime act of this family who symbolize the war for freedom.

The UBT staff paid homage in the cemetery of Jashari family members and at the same time visited the houses where the three days’ battle of Jashari family took place.

On the occasion of this historic date, the UBT Rector, prof.dr Edmond Hajrizi mentioned the significant role of those days in raising awareness all over the world about what was happening in Kosovo, but at the same time gave the message of unification of the Albanian people to fight for the freedom and the promising future of the generations that needed to grow up in freedom.

“A family gave all that they had, so we can breathe freely in our land today and so we can provide education for the new generations of students. Their sacrifice has served all these years as an example of strength with which we should love our homeland,” – said Hajrizi.

A few months ago, the UBT international guests have paid a visit to the memorial complex “Adem Jashari”. The aim of this visit was to let them know about the history of Jashari family, which is inextricably linked with the independence of Kosovo.
