The UBT Rector Hajrizi was a panelist at the conference organized in the framework of the 110 anniversary of “Manastir Congress”

The University of Korça “Fan S. Noli” in collaboration UBT, UP, and “The Center of Balkan Studies and International Relations” together with “The League of Albanian Diaspora of Macedonia” has organized a conference on behalf of the 110 anniversary of the “Manastir Congress” referred to as the Congress of Alphabet

 

Among the panelists of this conference has been also the UBT Rector prof.dr. Edmond Hajrizi who availed from the occasion to evaluate the contribution of the congress and also admitted that it’s in itself one of the most notable milestones of Albanian History.

 

Moreover Hajrizi claimed that the Alphabet of Albanian Language was of vital importance for Albanians owing to the fact that it created us with the opportunity of publishing books, newspapers, and other articles which could be read and understood by all Albanians wherever they lived.

 

The UBT Rector Hajrizi confessed that final step taken by the Congress of Manastir fostered the further development and establishing Albanian schools.

 

“Fortunately, the circumstances with are living nowadays are quite different and far more better than the previous ones, the education institutions have been of significant importance even for the Albanians coming from Kosovo. Needless to say, UBT is one of the most renowned academic institutions of Kosovo and even broader”, underscored Hajrizi.

 

The conference was held in three sessions and there was also presented tenths of papers from the most remarkable scholars of Albanian language, history and culture. “The Congress of Manastir” bears in itself a multifaceted event and marks one of the most significant moments of Albanian nation because the alphabet which was approved by this congress is still useful and is being implemented even nowadays.
