The Faculty of Food Science and Technology has established a system for monitoring student progress and completion rates to ensure timely intervention and support where needed. The system tracks key elements such as course completion rates, monitors the number of students successfully completing each course, and identifies areas where additional support or curriculum adjustments may be required. It also tracks annual progress, ensuring that students are progressing throughout the academic years as expected, and analyzes GPA trends to identify students who are struggling academically. In addition, the system monitors retention rates, particularly after the first and second years, and measures student engagement through class attendance and participation, group projects, and exams. The use of academic support services, such as tutoring and peer mentoring, is also closely monitored, ensuring that students are utilizing available resources. Regular student feedback is collected to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement, while the system also provides students with comprehensive practical components such as internships or project-based learning.
The Faculty of Science and Technology regularly informs students about international exchange mobility opportunities. These opportunities are offered mainly through the ERASMUS+ Student Mobility AKA 171 projects, where students are notified of open calls. Eligibility criteria, such as ECTS, GPA and English language proficiency, are clearly defined. Students apply for these programs and a selection process takes place. Successful applicants sign a Learning Agreement before their departure, ensuring that upon their return, ECTS credits earned abroad are recognized. In addition, UBT College offers mobility opportunities through its MoUs with over 400 universities, further expanding the range of international exchanges available to students.
The Master of Food Science and Technology students who have been on Mobility during these studies can be found attached in the table below:
Table: Students participating in Mobility.
UBT offers and develops many activities that are outside the study curriculum, where this is also helped by the presence of diversity of programs within UBT.
As activities that can be mentioned are: Organization of conferences within UBT and outside UBT that are organized by Associations present in Kosovo (Raspberry Conference, Milk Conference, etc.).
We can also mention the activity organized together with a professional from Italy. Within the framework of this organization, a seminar was held on the topic “Ristoceuticals: from Mediterranean diet foods, to delicious and functional foods for our health” by the professional Domenico Modugno.
Students are engaged in projects and research activities as follows:
