NAO Robot Greets Education Minister at the Education Fair in Prishtina

The NAO Robot programmed by the UBT students turn to be a special attraction at an Education Fair held in Tirana on 4-5 May and in particular at the Education Fair held in Prishtina on 6-7 May.


The robot greeted Mr. Arsim Bajrami, Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, who visited the UBT stand at the fair.  Minister Bajrami noted that the fair was a good opportunity for the students. 


“It is a good opportunity for our young people to be acquainted with international and local institute and schools in order to be able to identify the values.   The Education Ministry is developing projects aimed at improving the quality of education.  In this context, this year we will give a considerable number of scholarships for those who will study abroad.  We would like to see talented young people receiving the scholarships to be able to study in good European universities,” he said.


As a matter of fact, the young people were impressed not only by the NAO robot but by the UBT offer in general at the Education Fair held in Tirana.  They were pleased with the offers of the UBT and showed interest in being part of this institution of knowledge.


The young people showed huge interest for NAO robot.  They could also learn about the history of the development of robots in the UBT, which is the most well-known center not only in the region but wider in the field of the robotics, given the fact that its representatives have taken part for years in international championships of robot football games.  Moreover, they became European champions in this particular competition 2011, the while UBT organized this championship twice, in 2009 and 2011.


The young people from Tirana also showed interest in the UBT’s academic offers, its specific programs, the academic staff, and the mobility opportunities, which can be offered as part of the cooperation that the UBT has with the prestigious academic institutions in Europe and wider. 


In Prishtina, where the UBT programs and offers have gained a reputation, the young people and other visitors were informed about the new UBT programs and the opportunities that the UBT study offers, career building inside this institution, as well as the opportunity to study in the prestigious universities with which the UBT has cooperation agreements. 

 

“The UBT presented in these fairs its academic offers to a big number of participants in both Tirana and Prishtina.  The UBT demonstrated its technology advantages, the program offer, the staff, and infrastructure,” said Halil Bashota, head of the UBT Career Center.
