ICT Awards Reconfirm UBT as Leader in ICT and Innovations

A ceremony of presenting the awards for the contribution in the field of the Information Technology organized by the Albanian ICT Awards in Tirana reconfirmed that the UBT is the leader in the field of information technology and information, by receiving most of the awards and recognitions in a number of categories.
The wining of five prizes by the UBT representatives in the ceremony that was attended by many important personalities from the political and academic life, proved once again owing to many years of unrelenting engagement the UBT leads among all the others thus marking considerable results in the field of information technology and innovations.
It is worth recalling that UBT Rector Dr. Edmond Hajrizi received the prestigious award, the Academic Year Prize given by the Albanian ICT Awards, while in a tough competition three UBT students excelled by winning a total of four prizes, taking five the number of the prizes received at the third edition of the Albanian ICT Awards.
Mehmet Ratkoceri, with a project in the field of the artificial intelligence received a diploma nominated in the category of the ICT Diploma of the Year. He was also bestowed a medal for special contribution in the ICT Sector in Albania. He received a medal for the achievements in NASA Space Apps Challenge, namely the People’s Choice Award.
Altin Ukshini (Prishtina Hacker Space) and other students of UBT were given a medal for the contribution in the ICT sector. Arlind Hajredinaj was given a medal in the competition ICT Mobility of the Year, with an application “Auto Shkolla” (Driving School).
