UBT marked the 20th anniversary of its founding
27/01/2022Two decades of work, commitment and contribution to science, technology, innovation and education, were marked in a major event organized by UBT, this historic event that carries with it the weight of knowledge and preparation of many professional staff, who will lead important processes in the history of Kosovo.
To concretize the achievements and successes of UBT, as well as a sign of gratitude for all the work and commitment of all academic and administrative staff, Rector Hajrizi brought together the staff of the institution highlighting the contribution of each for the common achievements of a giant ecosystem created by UBT.
In his speech, Rector Hajrizi said that this gathering enables us to reflect on our achievements, successes and what this institution was created for 20 years ago, pledging to continue the tradition that UBT has created for 20 years.
The main event marking the 20th anniversary of UBT was also manifested with the inauguration of the 20th anniversary book.
The professor of the Faculty of Media and Communication at UBT, who has worked on this book, Safet Zejnullahu, has revealed the content of the book, the main figures about it, as well as the activities that are included in it.
In addition to eminent figures, including the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of the Republic of Kosovo, Arbërie Nagavci, the honorary guest of UBT was the Rector of the University of Korça, Dhimitri Bello, who in a speech said that the achievements of UBT for these 20 years are impressive and already this institution of higher education has gained the necessary experience and maturity to stay at the highest peaks of success.
In this ceremony was presented the short documentary in which unfolded the 20-year journey of UBT and its president, prepared by the staff of Media Group at UBT, showcasing facts, figures, and success stories.
For the contribution given over the years to the institution, the rector of UBT, prof.dr. Edmond Hajrizi honored with gratitude the employees who for ten years remained faithful to the work and vision of UBT, constantly contributing to the achievement of goals and objectives of the institution.
Lirigzona Morina, Artan Tahiri, Krenare Pireva, Belul Beqaj, Kreshnike Haliti-Bimbashi, Ylber Limani, Haxhi Kelmendi, Betim Gashi, Behar Selimi, Albulena Jahja-Lubishtani, Xhemajl Mehmeti, Banush Shyqeriu, and Ferhat Bejtullahu are the ones that worked with UBT for 10 years.
The atmosphere created in this ceremony was highlighted by the Faculty of Modern Music, Digital Production and Management at UBT, creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere with songs specially selected for this event.
On this occasion, in honor of the 20-year contribution to the development and advancement of science, technology and innovation in Kosovo, the creation of a giant ecosystem of knowledge, as well as the establishment of high academic values in higher education in Kosovo, the region and world, the Academic Council at UBT headed by the Director for Academic Affairs, prof.dr. Muhamet Ahmeti, has expressed gratitude to the president, also the rector of UBT, prof.dr. Edmond Hajrizi.
