UBT Introduces the SINCERE Project to Students
25/05/2026As part of its commitment to promoting academic integrity, ethical academic practices, and responsible digital transformation in higher education, UBT organized an information session for students to present the objectives and expected impact of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education project SINCERE.

During the session, students were introduced to the project’s mission of strengthening academic integrity systems within Higher Education Institutions through the development of innovative policies, digital tools, and capacity-building activities. Particular attention was given to contemporary challenges facing higher education, including plagiarism, contract cheating, the ethical use of artificial intelligence, and the importance of maintaining trust and transparency in academic environments.
The presentation highlighted the project’s planned activities, including the development of academic integrity frameworks, the introduction of advanced plagiarism detection tools, the creation of digital learning resources, and the development of monitoring systems that will support institutions in identifying and addressing academic misconduct.
Students had the opportunity to learn about the role they play in fostering a culture of integrity and responsible academic behavior, while also exploring how emerging technologies can be used ethically within education and research.
Through its participation in the SINCERE project, UBT continues to contribute to the modernization of higher education and the promotion of quality, accountability, and ethical standards across the Western Balkans and beyond.
