The Directorate for Academic Affairs (DAA) within UBT is responsible for the academic affairs of the Institution. The Directorate for Academic Affairs makes the strategic planning, development, coordination, and implementation of the academic policies of the Institution.

The Directorate for Academic Affairs has a central focus on the academic administration of the Institution and is responsible for the management, coordination, and provision of services related to the academy.

 

DAA (is responsible) to inform and advise faculties on:

  • Development of concepts, strategies, and technologies for the management of the university education process
  • Planning, administration, scientific and methodological support of the academic process
  • Support of scientific and methodological work for the improvement of the quality management system
  • Scientific and methodological support for student training
  • Informative and analytical work on the provision of academic services
  • Preparations for decision making and applications for new academic programs
  • Support of accreditation processes
  • Sustainability support
  • Promoting diversity and inclusion
  • Drafting a strategic plan
  • Academic integrity policy
  • Implementation of the Academic Calendar
  • Monitoring the workload of academic staff
  • UBT transport load planning with the faculties
  • Monitoring and posting syllabi in moodle
  • Control of carrier lists in the system
  • Control of curricula & subjects in the system
