UBT Accredited by the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS)

UBT further strengthens its international position in the fields of sports and healthcare. The Institute of Sports Medicine at UBT has been officially recognized by the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS) as a Collaborating Centre of Sports Medicine, making it part of the global network of specialized institutions in this field.

This recognition opens new opportunities for UBT in international cooperation, scientific research, knowledge exchange, and professional development, bringing international expertise and contemporary practices in sports medicine closer to Kosovo.

Being part of the FIMS network is also part of UBT’s vision to build an ecosystem where sports, healthcare, education, and science are integrated. Within this ecosystem, the Faculty of Sport Sciences and Movement plays an important role by connecting academic education with sports performance, rehabilitation, and sports medicine.

For young people from Kosovo and the region, this means more opportunities to learn, collaborate, and build their careers in a field that is becoming increasingly important worldwide.

This achievement adds to UBT’s ongoing activities in the field, including the International Conference on Sports Medicine, which this year will be held for the second time in October, bringing together local and international experts to discuss the latest developments and challenges in sports medicine.
