Many students coming from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Infrastructure, Architecture and Spatial Planning, Integrated Design, divided in 25 groups, unfolded their professional creativity in a common labor facility, fostered by the competition, “1st Spaghetti Bridge Building 2018 Challenge”, which is about building a sustainable bridge composed of spaghetti. The winner team is going to be the one which has succeeded in building the most sustainable bridge.

The idea of this competition, that is going to take place during March in regional level, is to build a bridge which will be composed of a maximum of 1.2 kg spaghetti, meanwhile the winning bridge should be as durable as possible, and so it can withstand the highest load placed on its bottom part.

Since the beginning of this competition, the UBT professors, prof. dr Visar Krelani and PhD Cand. Driton Kryeziu, provided the participating students with advices about the most efficient construction methods concerned with building sustainable bridges.

The competition “1st Spaghetti Bridge Building 2018 Challenge”, will end by tomorrow, when the durability of bridges built by the students will be measured, while from this parameter will also be awarded the winning team.
