The students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering visited the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning

The UBT students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Infrastructure have visited the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning. This visit has been carried out in compliance with the subject “Civil Regulations and Environmental Assessment”.

 

The purpose of this visit was to inform students regarding the ongoing activities in this department. Students have been waited by the Head of Environment Department of this ministry, Muhamet Musliu and by UBT professor, Ramë Hamzaj.

 

Musliu underlined the importance of a strategic environmental assessment. In addition, he emphasized that the environmental assessment initiates in the first steps of the project and continues till the completion of the building.

 

Director Musliu told students that on the basis of the legislation on construction objects, is required a strategic environmental assessment, while for other facilities is required assessment of the impact on the environment. He also said that in this ministry the environmental assessment starts from the conceptual project and continues until the beginning of the use of construction objects.

 

According to him, this department carries out administrative and professional work and deals with the issuance of permits, certificates and attestations to the requests of natural and legal people, based on the legislation on nature protection.
