The programme was opened in 2006 and accredited by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency. The aim of the program is to prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as professionals and competent nurses in providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services. The Bachelor in Nursing program is profession-based and development-based. On completion of the Bachelor in Nursing, the student is qualified to work as a practitioner of nursing and to enter into multidisciplinary collaboration. The structure of the program has been harmonised with EU Directive 2005/35 on Regulated Professions.
The programme provides the student with the necessary grounding in both theoretical and clinical aspects of nursing in compliance with the general development of the society, science and technology as well as the demands for nursing in the general population. The program is implemented in cooperation with Kosovo University Clinical Centre and regional hospitals and international partners.
