Aims and Objectives

The mission of the program is to educate and prepare real estate professionals who play a pivotal role in the development of the built environment and enhance the quality of urban living. Through innovative teaching, impactful research, and transformational management of real estate, construction, and infrastructure resources, our graduates will contribute significantly to sustainable development and the strategic growth of the region. We are committed to fostering a global perspective and cultivating leadership skills that are essential for the educational, social, economic, political, environmental, and cultural advancement of Kosovo and beyond.

The aim of the Real Estate Management program is to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in the fields of real estate, infrastructure, and urban development. The program fosters analytical and critical thinking, strategic decision-making, and interdisciplinary competence, preparing graduates for impactful roles in shaping the built environment and managing urban growth sustainably.

The objectives of the program are to:

  • Provide in-depth knowledge of legal, financial, and technical frameworks in the real estate sector.
  • Develop practical skills for property valuation, project planning, and real estate investment analysis.
  • Foster competencies in communication, teamwork, and leadership in multi-stakeholder development projects.
  • Encourage innovation and the use of technology in real estate and infrastructure management.
  • Cultivate awareness of societal needs, sustainability, and ethical standards in real estate development.

 

The intended learning outcomes of the program are presented below:

KNOWLEDGE

  • Identify and interpret the laws, rules, and regulations under which the industry operates from the managerial perspective, including aspects of real estate agency and brokerage, and real estate contract law.
  • Describe architectural designs that add value to the real estate and explain the role of strategic management in enhancing property value.
  • Outline effective planning and development methods for space, built environment, and infrastructure within the scope of urban sprawl, changing demographics, migration, scarce natural resources, and social infrastructure, and define how entrepreneurship and partnership negotiation apply in these contexts.
  • Illustrate how main determinants affect housing prices such as demography, net migration, and spatial planning, and how to incorporate knowledge from real estate development and organizational change perspectives.

SKILLS

  • Gather and analyze data of financial real estate transactions to establish judgments related to real estate investments, incorporating skills in financial analysis of real estate investments and massive valuation techniques.
  • Apply different methods of real estate valuation, including machine learning for real estate appraisal to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Explain how various marketing channels are used to sell real estate products, with a focus on real estate digital marketing and client relations.
  • Collaborate with accountants in the preparation of financial statements and with financial departments for cost-optimization accounting for internal purposes, and explain the implications for real estate leadership and management.
  • Evaluate public-private partnership contracts, considering aspects of partnership negotiations and strategic management.

  • Work in teams in preparation and execution of real estate and infrastructure development projects, leveraging skills in leadership and organizational behavior.
  • Critically analyze a real estate phenomenon through various disciplinary perspectives, including legal, financial, managerial, and technological viewpoints.
