Admission Criteria
Admission requirements include the successful completion of secondary education and the State Matura Exam, with specific procedures for international applicants to ensure diploma recognition and equivalency.
The admission process is fair, consistent, and non-discriminatory, ensuring equal opportunities for all applicants. Policies and criteria are published on the UBT website and in public calls for enrolment, providing clear guidance to prospective students. Additionally, procedures for recognizing prior studies and transfer students are regulated and accessible, guaranteeing transparency and alignment with national and institutional standards.
Admission of students is carried out based on the public call for enrolment, after which the candidates must submit the application to College UBT and other documents, which application is subject to review based on the admission criteria set out by the Faculty Council.
The criteria and procedures for admission are published widely, including in the public call for enrolment, and on the UBT College website. This ensures transparency and accessibility for all applicants, both national and international.
The call for enrolment is published at central level and contains all admission requirements for each accredited program. The call for enrolment is approved by Academic Council of UBT, which is published in the website of UBT College. Program Coordinators provide information to interested applications on daily basis. Applicants apply through online system and submit documents to the Administration of UBT College. Program Director reviews the application fide of applicants and compiles a list of selected candidates, which must be submitted to the Faculty Council for approval. The Faculty Council approves the selection process, reviewing the selection process done by the Program Director.
For transfer students from other universities, the admission process at UBT College ensures that their previously completed courses are carefully reviewed for compatibility with the Energy Engineering BSc program. According to Article 34, item 5 of Law on Kosovo Accreditation Agency the transfer can take place only from study programs, which have a content similarity with the program Energy Engineering BSc at least 70 %. Additionally, the course transcripts must be submitted and reviewed by the Faculty Transfer Sub-Committee. If the courses are the same and have the same content they are automatically recognized. For those with similar content, course descriptions must be submitted, and the Faculty Transfer Sub-Committee evaluates them to determine if the courses have the same or similar titles and equivalent ECTS credits. To be recognized, a course must have at least 70% similarity in terms of learning outcomes, objectives, and content compared to the equivalent course at the Energy Engineering BSc program
