UBT College ensures that candidates for the Applied Chemistry Program have the appropriate prior knowledge and competencies. Admission criteria, such as a minimum GPA of 3.5, completion of secondary education, and passing the Matura Exam, are clearly defined and consistently applied. For international students, a formal GPA equivalency process ensures fairness.

UBT College monitors students’ progress and provides support to those facing difficulties. The monitoring process involves continuous assessment throughout the academic year, including performance tracking in exams, assignments, and projects. Students who are identified as underachieving are flagged for additional support based on criteria set by the faculty.
The actions taken to support students with inadequate achievements include providing extra time for course understanding, assigning academic advisors, organizing exam preparation activities, and offering tutoring sessions through course mentors. Summer sessions and supplemental instruction programs focus on course completion, not re-teaching. Programs like Learning to Learn Tutorship, peer assessment with high-achieving students, and reduced course loads are also available.
