Rector Hajrizi in Austria: Visits Siemens City to Explore eHealth and Digital Transformation

At the invitation of Advantage Austria – the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, UBT Rector, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, participated in a professional visit organized at Siemens Healthineers Austria in Vienna, focusing on eHealth, innovation, and the digital transformation of healthcare systems in Austria and across Europe.

As part of the program at Siemens, high-level sessions and discussions were held on the development of national eHealth strategies, legal frameworks for telemedicine, the integration of digital technologies into healthcare systems, and modern approaches to patient engagement and communication through intelligent digital platforms.

During the official meetings, Rector Hajrizi engaged in discussions with representatives and experts from Siemens Healthineers Austria regarding future collaboration opportunities in the fields of technology, eHealth, innovation, and digital transformation.

During the meeting, Rector Hajrizi presented UBT’s innovative ecosystem, advanced laboratories, international projects, and the practices implemented by UBT in artificial intelligence, digital simulations, and the integration of technology into healthcare and education. He emphasized that UBT has established itself as one of the leading institutions in the region in the fields of eHealth and digitalization through its advanced practices and innovative approach.

Furthermore, Rector Hajrizi invited representatives of Siemens Healthineers Austria and international partners to visit UBT Smart City, with the aim of expanding academic, technological, and professional cooperation between Kosovo and Austria.

The visit served as an important opportunity to exchange experiences and explore new avenues for collaboration in healthcare innovation, digital transformation, and the development of future-oriented educational and technological initiatives.
