Numerous activities of the students of Political Sciences at the UBT
18/06/2015The students of the Department of Political Sciences at the UBT have developed a series of activities the last weeks.
Initially, the students of the first year, the group in Prishtina and the group in Ferizaj, did the simulation of a plenary session of the Assembly of Kosovo.
Later they visited the Assembly, where they also met with the President, Kadri Veseli. Furthermore, the responsible person for public relations in the Assembly, Musli Krasniqi, accompanied them in a visit throughout the building and explained them the legislative procedure and work of the administration of the Assembly
Later on, the two groups of students developed the simulation of the plenary session. As a start the students created the parties, the parliamentary groups and elected the heads of each group and the President of the Assembly. The heads and the President of the Assembly created also the Budget Commission. Afterwards, each student, in the function of a deputy, reviewed the draft law on Personal Income Tax and participated in the plenary session. After the debate, the draft law passed with six additional amendments, with the majority of votes.
