Austrian-Kosovar Energy Day 2015 Held in UBT

In the series of events organized by the UBT and the Austrian-Kosovar Society, conference on energy was held at the UBT’s Innovation Campus today.

UBT Rector Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi made a presentation on the energy situation in Kosovo, with a special emphasis on the contribution that the UBT has been giving through special study programs and energy experts, both local and international, in developing a new approach toward energy, which continues to remain one of the most problematic topics of Kosovo’s economic development. 

 

Besa Gashi-Zogaj, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, KEK’s [Kosovo Power Corporation] Director Arben Gjuka, Afrim Ajvazi from the Energy Regulatory Authority, representatives of the World Bank, representatives of the renewable energy organizations, representatives of the big companies, and experts from the field of energy, offered a comprehensive picture of the energy situation in our country, efforts to employ alternative energy, the situation with the equipment, and the future plans for energy production.
