Announcement: On 8th of March, UBT will organize a roundtable discussion concerning the challenges and ways of empowering the role of women in society
08/03/2019On behalf of 8th of March- International Women’s Day, UBT will organize a roundtable starting with the topic: “Overcoming challenges and empowerment of girls and women in Kosovo”. There are invited a large number of experts, political representatives, activists from civil society and students.
During this meeting there will be closely elaborated the main challenges and barriers which women and girls are being consistently faced with. Among others, there will be also elaborated topics concerning the creation of a society which provides equal opportunities for everyone.
The special thing about this organization will be the participation of social business. “SaPunë”, as a concrete example of the economic empowerment of Kosovar women and families of the Roma community. Meanwhile, their products will be exposed to everyone, where each participant will have the opportunity to help these women through buying their products.
The roundtable is going to take place at UBT, in Prishtina.
