EOQ Congress 2026 Gala Evening Brings Together European Quality Leaders to Celebrate Three Milestones

As part of EOQ Congress 2026, a gala evening was held in Kosovo to celebrate three important anniversaries: the 70th anniversary of the European Organization for Quality (EOQ), the 25th anniversary of UBT, and the 20th anniversary of Quality Kosova. The evening brought together representatives of the international quality community, academic leaders, and institutional partners, highlighting the importance of cooperation, innovation, and the development of a culture of quality.

The opening address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, Rector of UBT, President of Quality Kosova, and Vice President of the EOQ. He emphasized the significance of UBT’s 25-year journey and Quality Kosova’s 20-year contribution to the development of quality systems, value creation, and future-building.

Following his address, Prof. Dr. Paulo Sampaio, President of the European Organization for Quality (EOQ), addressed the attendees, highlighting the significance of the organization’s 70th anniversary and its role in advancing the global quality community.

The celebratory programme continued with a performance of traditional Albanian dances, showcasing Kosovo’s culture, traditions, and identity to the guests. This performance added a distinctive cultural dimension to the evening, bringing together the importance of international cooperation and the richness of local cultural heritage.

One of the evening’s highlights was the presentation of awards and recognitions to European quality leaders, alongside the recognition of UBT’s and EOQ’s strategic partners for their contributions to advancing quality and strengthening institutional cooperation.
