EOQ Congress 2026 at UBT: European Quality Leaders Discuss Transformation, Innovation and Resilient Leadership

As part of the 67th Congress of the European Organization for Quality (EOQ Congress 2026), UBT hosted the European Quality Leaders Plenary Session, where international experts discussed the role of leadership in organizational transformation, achieving excellence, and building resilient organizations in an ever-changing business environment.

Moderated by Tiia Tammaru, the session brought together representatives of the European quality community, who shared their experiences and perspectives on how quality can serve as a driver of transformation, sustainable development, and greater organizational impact.

The session featured the following presentations and contributions:

• Pierre Girault, President of AFQM, France – Welcome remarks, followed by the presentation of an EOQ Certificate in recognition of his contribution.
• Dr. Ing. Florian Weymar – “The Leadership Journey: Quality as a Driver of Transformation.”
• Dr. Patricia Carvalho – “From Excellence to Impact: Lessons from Leadership in Quality.”

The discussions highlighted the importance of effective leadership in addressing technological changes and emerging business challenges. Speakers emphasized that quality goes beyond meeting standards, representing a fundamental element of organizational transformation and long-term development.

As part of the Congress programme, a dialogue was also held between EOQ national representatives and international partners, focusing on the exchange of perspectives and the strengthening of global cooperation in the field of quality.
