UBT, the First Institution in Kosovo to Receive Quality Recognition from AESOP in Spatial and Urban Planning

UBT has now become part of the European network of institutions recognized by AESOP – Association of European Schools of Planning, the European organization that promotes quality in education and research in the field of spatial and urban planning.

This achievement is part of the 20-year journey of UBT’s Faculty of Architecture and Spatial Planning, which over the years has grown into the largest school of architecture in the country, creating opportunities for new generations of architects and spatial planning professionals.

In this context, the Master’s program in Urban Planning and Sustainable Development has been awarded Quality Recognition by AESOP, making UBT the first institution in Kosovo to receive this recognition.

Among the key components of the evaluation is the program’s global perspective on the topics it addresses, as well as its international cooperation, providing students with opportunities to exchange experiences and gain knowledge from partner universities.

Through a detailed evaluation process conducted by the Excellence in Education Board, participating programs are assessed in terms of pedagogy, academic content, professional practices, and their contribution to sustainable urban and regional development.
