At the 65th European Quality Congress held in France, the founder and Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, was awarded the title European Quality Leader First Finalist by the European Organization for Quality (EOQ).

Among numerous distinguished personalities from Europe, the USA, China, India, Canada, and many other countries, Rector Hajrizi was recognized for his outstanding contribution to advancing and promoting quality management, not only in Kosovo but also at a global level. The award represents an acknowledgment of his long-standing dedication to quality management and his efforts that have contributed to raising quality standards and fostering societal development.

“For me and for my country, receiving this award is a special and unforgettable achievement. This recognition is not only a personal honor, but also an acknowledgment of all the work we have done in advancing quality and improving living standards,” said Rector Hajrizi.

The EOQ award recognizes individuals who have successfully led organizations and made extraordinary contributions to improving quality management and promoting sustainable societal development.

This recognition stands as evidence of Rector Hajrizi’s commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainable development, creating opportunities for further growth across various sectors related to quality management. He is the first personality from Albanian-speaking regions, and among the few in Europe, to receive such an honor. In his remarks, Rector Hajrizi emphasized that the award is a great honor for Kosovo, dedicating it to the country, his colleagues, and his family.

“This award is an honor I dedicate to Kosovo, my staff, my colleagues, and my family. My greatest motivation is to present this achievement as a success for Kosovo on the international stage. It confirms that Kosovo has moved beyond the transition phase and entered a stage of sustainable development,” he stressed.

The European Organization for Quality (EOQ) brings together more than 70,000 members and 500,000 companies within its member and partner organizations across Europe and worldwide.

The “European Quality Leader First Finalist” award is presented annually by EOQ to prominent leaders who have successfully guided their organizations to excellence, as well as to those who dedicate their time, energy, and expertise to sharing values for the benefit of European society.
