UBT Becomes the First and Only Institution in Kosova and the Region to Receive Prestigious Accreditation from the British Accreditation Council
06/03/2026The Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, announced that the institution has been accredited by the British Accreditation Council for a four-year period, describing this as an important achievement for the institution and for higher education in Kosova.
During a press conference, Rector Hajrizi emphasized that this accreditation confirms that UBT meets the high British and European standards of quality in education, further strengthening the institution’s position on the international academic stage.
The British Accreditation Council is one of the most renowned international institutions for quality assurance in education, headquartered in the United Kingdom. It evaluates and accredits educational institutions around the world to guarantee high academic standards and sustainable institutional management.
“The accreditation process by the British Accreditation Council is detailed and very rigorous. During this process, our academic programs, the quality of teaching, infrastructure, institutional management, student services, and our commitment to continuous improvement were thoroughly analyzed”, said Hajrizi.
He announced that as a result of this process, UBT has become the first and only institution in Kosova and in the region to receive this prestigious accreditation from the British Accreditation Council.
Rector Hajrizi described this achievement as clear evidence that UBT’s commitment to quality, innovation, and internationalization is being recognized and appreciated at the international level. He expressed gratitude to the academic and administrative staff, students, and international partners who contributed to achieving this success.
According to him, for students and for everyone who chooses to study at UBT, this accreditation represents an additional guarantee that they are part of an institution that operates according to the highest British and European standards, preparing them for an increasingly global and competitive job market.
