Certificates Awarded at UBT to the Kosovar Team Participating in the “FIRST Global Challenge”
23/12/2025In a special ceremony held at UBT, in the presence of institutional leaders, mentors, parents of the team members, and representatives of the academic community, certificates were awarded to the Kosovar team that participated in the international robotics competition, FIRST Global Challenge, held in Panama.

The team representing Kosova consisted of Leona Hajrizi, Amar Rama, Ardi Krosa, and Marta Çerkini, who, under the mentorship of Elita Hajrizi, demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and proudly represented Kosova in this prestigious global competition.
In her address during the ceremony, mentor Elita Hajrizi highlighted the challenges the team faced, as well as their achievements and strong commitment throughout the competition:
“Our team faced many challenges, but through dedication, collaboration, and tireless work, we managed to represent Kosova with pride. This competition gave us the opportunity to demonstrate our professionalism and to build international friendships that will remain unforgettable.”
During the ceremony, additional mentors Ylli Rexhaj, Redon Rexhepi, and Argjend Jetullahu were also certified in recognition of their support and dedication throughout the entire process.
The team expressed special gratitude to UBT, as a key supporter of Kosova’s youth, as well as to the mentors, administrative staff, and media team who documented the team’s activities. Appreciation was also extended to the families of the team members, who were their greatest supporters throughout this journey.
The Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, expressed deep appreciation for the students’ and pupils’ hard work and volunteer spirit, emphasizing their outstanding achievements in the field of robotics.
This season of the FIRST Global Challenge marked an unforgettable experience for the Kosovar team, which, in addition to gaining technological and robotics expertise, also built new international friendships and valuable global experiences. Team Kosova concluded the season with energy and passion, promising to return in the next season to represent the country with pride.
