Within the framework of the AKIL-EU Jean Monnet project, funded by the European Union, UBT had the honor of organizing a seminar on the topic “European Integration of the Western Balkans”, with invited lecturer Mag. Bahri Troja from the Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF).

This seminar, which was held with the active participation of UBT students, focused particularly on the integration processes of Albania and Kosovo into the European Union. During his lecture, Mag. Troja provided an in-depth analysis of the current challenges faced by Western Balkan countries, as well as the perspectives offered by EU integration.

Sharing his professional experience and expertise from Austria, he emphasized the importance of regional cooperation, the implementation of structural reforms, and the significance of harmonizing legal and administrative standards with those of the European Union.

Students had the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions, raising questions and sharing thoughts on the path of European integration, reflecting on the role they can play as engaged citizens and future professionals.

Mag. Bahri Troja’s contribution to this seminar was highly appreciated for his dynamic approach and commitment to such an important topic for the future of the region.

UBT, through such initiatives, continues to strengthen ties with international institutions and provide spaces where students benefit from European experiences and perspectives on issues of public policy, development, and integration.
