UBT students are carrying out a Project called “Finger Tip”

UBT students, Nderim Bytyqi, Arbnor Bytyqi and Enis Gerbeshi have initiated a project called “Finger Tip”, which aims to facilitate the verification process of students lecture attendance.

This is a unique project of this type in Kosovo and will assure preciseness as far as the attendance sheets are concerned. All this process will be carried out digitally.

As far as students are concerned this project will positively affect the progress of academic process. In addition this project also aims to foster concentration of students and preserve their energies. The whole process is expected to long no more than three seconds for each student.

 

This application will function and operate by utilizing the fingerprints. However the software is created in a peculiar way that it avoids the preservation of fingerprints in the data base, but in the form of a unique ID, which will be specific for each student.

 

In respect to the existing laws in Kosovo as well as all over the world, which are concerned with the preservation of privacy of each individual. “The fingerprints are not going to be preserved as images but as an ID in the database of local computers which are specifically programmed to bear this function”, emphasized Nderim Bytyqi who has worked in the sector which is related to software of this product.

The student of Integrated Design underlined that UBT provides the students with the opportunity of collaborating with each other in order to achieve concrete results.

 

“I’m thankful to UBT that has created a program which is related to Integrated Design and that incorporates all spheres of design. All this features make this a unique program”, underlined Arbnor Demaj.

 

The same group of students has embarked on by carrying out a wide range of innovative projects in Kosovo and all over the region which aim to be competitive in the market linked to industry.
