UBT President Prof Dr. Edmond Hajrizi and a team of the UBT professors have participated at a meeting organized by the Kosovo Association of Information Technology and Communication (STIKK) at which reports “Analysis of Skill Deficiency in ICT” and “Analysis of ICT Market in Kosovo” were presented.

The two surveys involved a considerable number of respondents from the ICT companies with an aim of at identifying whether the institute graduates are prepared for work, which students are most satisfied with what is offered to them, and the other way around.

The report “Analysis of Skill Deficiency in ICT” shows that the UBT leads among all other higher education institution in the country, by contributing to the education of the young people in this field and by offering the companies and institutions, both public and private, students prepared to work.

“It is an exceptional pleasure to understand that the UBT is the only institution of higher education in the country which enrolls annually 600 students in the field of ICT, of them 80% coming from the secondary education with the highest scores,” said UBT President Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi.

Among others, the survey also dealt with the number of the students registered in an institution of high education in a certain year. Based on the results of the analysis, it turns out that the UBT is the leader in the country, with the biggest number of the graduated students in the bachelor and master studies on the ICT.

One of the issues that the survey dealt with was if the companies were dissatisfied with the education institutions.  In this point, it turned out that the UBT is not part of that list at all.  This is yet another acknowledgment for the good work done at the UBT.
