UBT Cooperating With US Embassy in Kosovo

As part of the cooperation with local institutions, a delegation from the US Embassy in Kosovo, comprising Remzie Potoku and Kanishka Gangopadhyai have visited the UBT.  UBT President Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi and his associates welcomed the delegation.


The US embassy representatives confirmed the support in promoting entrepreneurship, as an essential part of the economic development, and provision of prospects for the UBT students for employment for scholarships.  They noted that the US grant would support the UBT in creating modern resources for teaching in the field of entrepreneurship, in setting up a virtual business incubatory, carrying out researches on entrepreneurship, and exchange of experiences with the US universities.


The US Embassy representatives also expressed the commitment to support the UBT students in the aspect of the post-graduate studies, professional visits, and cooperation in strengthening of culture of entrepreneurship in Kosovo through avocation for incentives to the students to start businesses.


As part of the long-term partnership, the US Embassy and the UBT are committed to working together in finding the ways of advancing professional development, improvement of the business environment, and institutional support for self-employment and creative business ideas among the students. 

 

The delegation members said were pleased to see that good is being done at the UBT.
