The students of Food Science and Biotechnology have prepared nutritional products at UBT laboratories

UBT is offering highly favorable conditions for the students of Food Science and Technology to transform the practical theories gained during their studies.

In the sophisticated laboratories of this faculty, all the practical tasks on the concept of creating healthy foods, as well as healthy nutrition, are being carried out.

 

After many healthy food products prepared by labs, recently third year students of this faculty have prepared two new products, dried fruits and fruit gelatin product as a pectin derivate, extracted from fruit and used for the gelatinization of different jams.

These products are being prepared in relation to the subject “Technology of Herbal Products”, lectured by the UBT professors Namik Durmishi and Lorikë Salihu.

 

Thanks to these practices, students learnt a lot about the importance of providing the students with seasonal products during one year. The young technologists managed to produce a qualitative product in relevance with all the required standards and criteria. Above all, those products preserve all the nutritional values.
