Inauguration of UBT Start-Up School in Prizren
03/07/2024In Prizren, in the presence of representatives from public and private institutions, entrepreneurs, professors, students, and pupils, the inauguration ceremony of the entrepreneurship school, UBT Start-Up School, was held. Quality Kosova, with the support of the ITP through Germany’s GIZ, has established the UBT Start-Up School—an initiative aimed at enhancing the skills and talent of young people in the fields of business and innovation in Kosovo.
During the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, Director of Quality Kosova and founder of the UBT Start-Up School, emphasized in his speech the school’s mission to promote knowledge and entrepreneurial skills among young people.
“The Entrepreneurship School is an important step toward the development of Kosovo, offering practical training and professional mentoring for our youth. We believe that investing in them means investing in our future,” said Hajrizi.
Hanns-Juergen Cassens, Director of ITP, highlighted the importance of this school in preparing young people for the challenges and opportunities of the business and technology world, adding that this represents a major step toward a more resilient and innovative society.
The Mayor of Prizren, Shaqir Totaj, speaking about the importance of this initiative for the city and the community, expressed his appreciation for the project, describing it as an opportunity to develop the entrepreneurial talents and skills of Kosovo’s youth.
Project Manager Besnik Skenderi added that the UBT Start-Up School is an investment in Kosovo’s future, providing a necessary platform for the development of entrepreneurial potential among young people and university students.
The inauguration ceremony concluded with a Q&A session, where further details and plans of the entrepreneurship school were discussed, offering participants the opportunity to gain insight into the program and contribute to the success of the UBT Start-Up School.
This important step marks the beginning of a new chapter in Kosovo’s development, fostering the potential and talent of young people in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.
