Rector Hajrizi Attends Opening of the 2026 International Youth Peace Summit in Mitrovica

UBT Rector Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi attended the opening of the 2026 International Youth Peace Summit, organized by YSP Balkan, currently taking place in Mitrovica, bringing together young people from different countries and communities, as well as representatives of institutions, academia, and civil society.

During the opening ceremony, Rector Hajrizi delivered welcoming remarks, emphasizing the importance of education, cooperation, and youth engagement in building a more sustainable and peaceful future.

Speaking about the significance of the summit, Rector Hajrizi emphasized that UBT’s mission is to contribute to developing a generation prepared to act beyond borders, build bridges of cooperation, and create a positive impact on society. He highlighted the role of education, innovation, and international engagement in empowering young people as drivers of change.

With the participation of young people and institutional, academic, and civil society representatives, the summit aims to promote dialogue, coexistence, peace, freedom, and equality, while creating opportunities for the exchange of ideas and experiences and for strengthening connections among different communities.
