15 UBT Professors Ranked No. 1 in Kosovo in Scholarly Index 2026
29/09/2026UBT has recorded strong results in the Scholarly Index Top1000 Scholar 2026, with 15 university professors ranked No. 1 in Kosovo in at least one research topic.
The professors include:
Alban Kuriqi, Hyrije Koraqi, Ridvan Peshkopia, Visar Krelani, Gazmend Temaj, Pajtim Bytyçi, Burhan Reshat Rexhepi, Milaim Berisha, Kujtim Lepaja, Demokrat Nuha, Xhevahire Millaku, Liridon Kryeziu, Alfred Marleku, Nuredin Lutfiu and Kristina Perkola.
These rankings cover a wide range of research areas, including engineering, water and environmental sciences, business, social sciences, food science, education, linguistics and other fields.
UBT professors have also achieved strong international positions. Prof. Dr. Alban Kuriqi recorded the highest global position among the UBT professors featured in these rankings, reaching No. 8 worldwide in “Hydrology and Sediment Transport Processes” for the 2021–2025 period.
In addition, Kristina Perkola ranked #71 worldwide, while Burhan Reshat Rexhepi ranked #81, in their respective research topics.
These results highlight the strong national and international presence of UBT professors and further strengthen the university’s visibility in scientific research.
