Rector Hajrizi Held Important Meetings in the United States of America
08/02/2026The Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, continued his agenda with a series of important meetings in Washington, D.C., as part of his official visit to the United States of America.

During his stay in Washington, Prof. Hajrizi met with representatives of American universities, including presidents, vice presidents, and professors. The meetings focused on discussing opportunities for academic cooperation, inter-institutional exchanges, and joint projects in the fields of education and scientific research.
One of the meetings was held with Professor Daniel Serwer, a distinguished expert on Balkan issues and one of the most significant long-standing contributors to the rights of Albanians and the cause of Kosovo. On this occasion, Rector Hajrizi expressed his gratitude to Prof. Serwer for his continuous contribution, officially invited him to visit UBT, and honored him with a symbolic gift. Topics of mutual interest related to political, academic, and regional developments were also discussed during the meeting.
Also present at this meeting were the Albanian Member of Parliament from the Presheva Valley, Shaip Kamberi, Ragmi Mustafi, as well as Faton Bislimi, who is well known for his long-standing engagement and contribution to the Albanian cause in the United States.
Meanwhile, upon a special invitation and with the support of Joe DioGuardi, the delegation also visited the Capitol Hill Club—the Republican club in Washington—a symbolic venue for political meetings and strategic discussions, which has historically served as an important space for supporting the cause of Kosovo within American circles.
This visit also marked a moment of appreciation for all those individuals and institutions that, over the years, have made extraordinary contributions within the U.S. Congress to the freedom, independence, and development of the Republic of Kosovo.
