UBT Staff Participate in Academic Mobility at Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania

A delegation of academic and administrative staff from UBT took part in an academic mobility visit at Transilvania University of Brașov, in Brașov, as part of international cooperation and the Erasmus+ programme.

The UBT delegation included: the Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, Prof. Dr. Ariana Gjoni; Professor from the Faculty of Media and Communication, Musa Sabedini; Lecturer from the Faculty of Architecture and Spatial Planning, Bard Bajçinovci; Senior Officer at the Office of the Secretary, Ismije Pllana; and Assistant and Public Relations Officer, Driton Hyseni.

During their stay, the delegation engaged in an intensive academic and professional agenda, which began with official meetings with representatives of the host university. In this context, they were welcomed by the Incoming Mobility Coordinator, Corina Tripon, who presented the structure of academic activities and the organization of the teaching process.

The programme continued with campus visits, where the delegation had the opportunity to closely explore the university’s academic infrastructure, including practical laboratories and facilities dedicated to students’ professional development.

As part of this mobility, thematic lectures were also delivered to students. Bard Bajçinovci presented on “An Innovative Method of Technology: Integrating Vertical Farms into Buildings,” highlighting innovative approaches to integrating sustainable technologies into architecture.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, Prof. Dr. Ariana Gjoni, delivered a series of lectures on “Design Thinking for Business Innovation: Integrating Art, Aesthetics, and Human-Centred Design in Contemporary Business,” focusing on communication, product design, and the role of design as a strategic tool in business and the creative industries.

During the mobility, Senior Officer Ismije Pllana was actively engaged in monitoring and supporting the academic staff’s activities, as well as addressing matters related to administrative coordination and the academic advancement of students.

Additionally, the UBT university media model was presented by Professor Musa Sabedini and Driton Hyseni, offering a comprehensive overview of the functioning and management of the university’s media platforms. The presentation emphasized the role of digital media in institutional promotion, public communication, and university branding. Special attention was given to the integration of professional practice into the teaching process at the Faculty of Media and Communication at UBT, where students are directly involved in media content production, gaining practical experience and developing skills required by the job market.

The visit also included institutional-level meetings with department leaders and academic staff, including Radu Muntean, Carmen Elena Maftei, Cristina Nicolau, Ecaterina Coman, Ana-Maria Bolborici, and Florin Nechita. Discussions focused on opportunities for expanding future cooperation, staff exchange, and the development of joint academic projects.

This mobility is considered an important step toward the internationalization of UBT and the strengthening of academic ties with European institutions, creating new opportunities for knowledge exchange and professional collaboration in the field of media and communication.
