UBT President Speaks at the ACEEU Global Forum in Prague
15/09/2025The President and Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, was a keynote speaker at the ACEEU Global Forum (The Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial & Engaged Universities), held in Prague.
At this international forum, which gathers hundreds of representatives from some of the world’s largest and most innovative universities, Rector Hajrizi delivered a presentation on the topic: “Leading Beyond Boundaries: Innovation, Sustainability, and Social Impact at UBT”, showcasing the unique model of the UBT Smart City ecosystem as an inspiring example for transforming higher education in the 21st century.
In his speech, he emphasized the importance of integrating education, technology, entrepreneurship, social responsibility, and innovation, presenting concrete results and new models — including the most recent one that positions UBT as “The leading fully AI-powered ecosystem in Europe” — a system built on artificial intelligence, now serving as a model for European and global universities.
Participants had the opportunity to learn first-hand how UBT has managed to create a comprehensive platform where students, professors, industry, and local and global institutions collaborate to generate new knowledge and develop innovative solutions. This ecosystem is contributing to addressing various challenges related to urbanization, health, economic growth, the environment, and sustainable development.
The conference is regarded as one of the most important in the field of higher education, entrepreneurship, and innovation, highlighting the need for universities to be adaptable, impact-oriented, and closely engaged with society.
