UBT participated in the kick-off meeting of the new Erasmus+ project SINCERE – Strengthening Integrity and Ethical Culture in Regional Higher Education, held on 26–27 November 2025 at the Fan S. Noli University in Korçë. This regionally significant project aims to strengthen academic integrity, promote an ethical culture, and advance governance processes in higher education institutions in Kosovo and Albania.

At the meeting, UBT was represented by Muhamet Gërvalla and Elinda Krasniqi, who participated in sessions on project management, work package organization, quality assurance mechanisms, financial training, and activity planning for 2026.

The SINCERE project focuses on building a sustainable culture of academic integrity in higher education by addressing key challenges such as plagiarism, unethical practices in scientific research, the use of new technologies, and enhancing institutional transparency. Through this project, partner universities will be supported in developing advanced ethical policies, strengthening quality assurance structures, and enhancing the professional capacities of their staff.

  • Integration of digital systems for plagiarism detection and academic integrity management;
  • Expansion of international cooperation with partner universities and institutions in the region and beyond;
