
UBT on an official visit to the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain
28/02/2025UBT Rector, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Spatial Planning, Prof. Binak Beqaj, and Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Infrastructure, Prof. Visar Krelani is paying an official visit to the Valencia Polytechnic University in Spain.
As part of this visit, a presentation was held by Rector Hajrizi about UBT innovative ecosystem, which combines education, scientific research and technology to create an innovative academic and professional environment.
During this presentation the innovative approaches of the institution were unveiled in various fields, including UBT International Smart Schools, the first schools in Kosovo and the region offering quality education, with international curricula and 4.0 education, combining technology and creativity to prepare future leaders.
A lecture for construction students has also delivered Prof. Visar Krelani, where aspects of the life expectancy of structures and research at UBT are presented.
Dean of Architecture, Prof. Binak Beqaj, presented the importance of the interdisciplinarity that interconnects different directions and also applied very well to UBT.
In this academic year, through the Erasmus program, two Master’s students at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Infrastructure at UBT, Diellza Vishi and Leart Shabani are pursuing their studies at this university, who are also conducting separate research under the leadership of one of the most renowned professors of Spain and Europe. Pedro Serna, who is also the biggest supporter of this agreement.
The UBT delegation has had many important meetings in which experiences were exchanged and expressed their willingness to cooperate even more in the field of teaching, scientific, conferences, etc.
The delegation met with the pro-rector of the Polytechnic University, with Prof. Pedro Serna, who was the main organizer, with the Secretary of the UBT Research Institute, where UBT students are conducting important research and met with representatives of the International Office at the University.
During this visit, the UBT delegation is conducting meetings with senior academic representatives and leaders of the respective faculties, in order to strengthen inter-university cooperation and exchange academic and professional experiences.
Discussions focused on partnerships in various fields, such as architecture, spatial planning, construction engineering, as well as in collaborations on research projects and mobility of students and academic staff.
