UBT is preparing the representative team of Kosovo in the FIRST Global Challenge

The UBT team is going to represent Kosovo in the international competition named “FIRST Global Challnge”. The UBT team is being prepared to participate in this competition, but owing to it’s political problems has not completed the procedure related to taking visas. This is an important procedure because the event will take place in Mexico.

 

The competion of this year is going to be held during 15-18 August and it’s worth mentioning that this competition is concerned with the issue of gaining profits from electric energy resources. This topic is widely discussed all over the world and is directly affects human welfare.

 

In this competition Kosovo will be represented by these students Elita Hajrizi, Raesa Nikshiqi, Ardi Loxha and Albana Hajdini who work at the mechatronics labs under the consistent guidance of academic staff of UBT and are building the first competitive robot in First Global.

 

FIRST Global Challenge is founded by Dean Camen, a worldwide renown inventor, among his most successful invention is considered to “Segway”. The previous year there competed youngsters from almost 150 states and competed with their robots.

 

The aim of this competition is to raise awareness and boost the interest in the youth ll over the world in the main fields of science such as technology, engineering and maths. (ang: STEM ose Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
